At Yosemite Pathology Medical Group, we’re an anatomic pathology lab. While we’re hospital-based, we also process a significant number of specimens for outpatient facilities, which is where many of our interfacing needs come into play.

When researching interface engine providers, we identified three critical factors: time, functionality, and product reputation. After careful consideration, we found that eTX offered a far superior product that truly suited our needs. It also came highly recommended by several other customers.

Before using eTX HEMI, we relied on our LIS Company to create interfaces. Each new request would cost us thousands of dollars and often took up to three months before they even began working on it.

Now, with eTX HEMI, we can realistically have an interface up and running within two weeks once the process is initiated. That includes time for correspondence during testing as well as the installation of EAM or SFTP, depending on the connectivity method.

The quickest interface I’ve personally set up was completed within two days after the client submitted the request. That rapid turnaround was largely due to how responsive their EMR team was and their willingness to expedite the process.

One of my favorite features of the eTX HEMI system is the drag-and-drop HL7 mapping. Every EMR we work with has slightly different specifications for how they want to receive HL7 files. With eTX, it’s as easy as dragging a field from my HL7 file and dropping it into their format. This is a tremendous time-saver and works flawlessly.

Overall, the eTX HEMI system has saved our company time, money, and clients. We’re now able to offer more robust electronic ordering and results capabilities than ever before, and we can compete more effectively in the marketplace. Both our administration and marketing departments are thrilled with how quickly and efficiently we can now implement interfaces — and so am I.
