Union General Hospital is a critical access hospital located in Farmerville, Louisiana, in Union Parish, approximately 25 miles from the Arkansas line. As the Chief Financial Officer, I was part of the IT steering committee responsible for selecting a new IT vendor. From my financial perspective, the primary concern during the selection process was cost. Equally important for our team was flexibility — the ability to adapt to changing needs and connect with multiple providers.

When we were evaluating potential interface integration providers, we looked for three main qualities:

Their solution was far less rigid and much more flexible.

The technical setup of our eTransX interface was also impressively quick — it only took about a day.
Our favorite feature of the HEMI engine is the graphical user interface (GUI). It’s intuitive and easy to use, even for team members who aren’t deeply technical.

Thanks to eTransX, Union General Hospital is now connected to the State Health Information Exchange, not only for the hospital but also for our affiliated clinic. This comprehensive connectivity is a huge win for our organization.
