eTX Stream
It’s often necessary for two or more business entities that are at different physical locations to exchange HL7 messages securely in real-time. While the usual method to handle such a setup is with a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection between the computers at each location and exchange the messages, it proves to be unreliable. This method would work when the VPN connects are strong, but it is usually more prone to frequent connection drops, creating errors in the HL7 message exchange. It also is an administrative nightmare on both sides to set up VPN connections, especially for those organizations that work with multiple client location, where client software might be used.

Safe and SecureAll communication between eTX Stream and eTX HEMI is done via a HIPPA-compliant, encrypted (128-bit encryption), SSL transaction. eTX HEMI establishes a secure connection with eTX Stream only when there is a file to be sent to the stream. Otherwise, there is no other live connection to eTX Stream from eTX HEMI or any other external system. |
