Position: Network and Systems Engineer

Responsibilities: The Network/Systems engineer provides technical support, guidance and consultation to eTransX clients in one or more of the following areas: data center, networking, telecommunications, help desk and training materials.

The Network/Systems engineer will be responsible for the review, selection and implementation of our client's enterprise management systems, Local Area Network (LAN) desktop management systems, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems and Windows workstation migration methodologies. Additionally the individual will be responsible for the creation of standard operating procedures and training documentation. The individual will also perform system analysis and review functions pertaining to new technologies as required. This will involve technical writing skills that must meet our client's strict oversight.
Experience:
  • 5 years Network and Systems Administration
  • 5 years technical writing skills of network topologies, system diagrams, product reviews
  • Strong understanding of IDS/IPS, Helpdesk, migration methodologies
  • Experience using Tripwire, Servers Alive, Snort and Crystal Reporting programs
  • Motivated, self-starter
  • Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills and effective communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks; and to work well within a team environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
